High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a linear thermoplastic plastic produced by the coordination polymerization of ethylene under low pressure. It can be regarded as “the tough and durable plastic bottles and pipe cores” - due to the fact that its molecular chains have few branches and a high crystallinity, it has a relatively high density (0.94-0.97 g/cm³), good rigidity, high tensile strength, and excellent chemical corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, and good low-temperature resistance (down to -100°C), but its transparency is lower than that of low-density polyethylene. It is widely used in products such as shampoo bottles, shower gel bottles, milk buckets, gas pipelines, drainage pipes, plastic trays, large storage tanks, and sorting trash cans, which require high rigidity, resistance to environmental stress, and long-term outdoor use.
